This post shows the progression of a new processor box for our customer Sixarms.  The requirement was to fit a number of commercial circuit boards into a small machined box.

Each of the boards was drawn up on Solidworks.

It may look simple now but we did several rough placements to work out the most efficient layout.

The 3D model files were sent to our machining subcontractor – Protonautics. These guys do quick turn around high precision jobs. Most of the walls are 1mm thick.First unit off the mill.

The assembled unit is connected to the drone and wirelessly to the PC.
